United Airlines – International Economy Plus – the extra space makes a difference

United Airlines15 April 2008 (Brussels, Belgium to Dulles Washington International Airport) – Flying in United Airlines’ Economy Plus on transatlantic flights makes a difference.  The extra few inches of space between seats really do make one feel more comfortable and able to spread out during a flight.  The extra comes in to play, at least for me, when attempting to using my laptop computer during the flight. On my flight over from the States to Belgium, I was in Standard Economy class and when I attempted to use my laptop, I found the keyboard jabbing in to my ribs when ever the person in front me reclined their seat.  This is not the case in Economy Plus.  The person in front of me can recline and my laptop top remains a comfortable distance away from my rib cage.  This makes viewing the LCD screen much easier, where as in Economy Plus, I had to adjust my screen angle which obscured my viewing of things on the screen.

There are no additional services in Economy Plus, just extra space and for me, on this flight, which is all I need to be able to write up my articles for the web site.
